An US Army dress visor hat for a Colonel in size 71/8 Viet Nam period

Description

Cannot tell you much about the hat. I picked it up at an estate sale from  the estate of a US Army Colonel. The hat is in terrific condition and it just looked so darn  good I just bought it along with other of his items. It would be a nice item for a US Army hat collector or just to display as a patriot. Stand is not included in the sale. Thanks for looking. If you know anything about these hats and this one in particular,like what is the brown or deep purple around the hat represent I would be most grateful.
