You have probably already seen or heard about the MXR Dyna Comp.
It’s a good pedal and is used by many professional musicians. There are a few obsessive compulsive tone addicts out there (like me) who have noticed a few issues:
It’s a little on the harsh side. It could use a little more clarity. It lacks fullness and warmth. This pedal suffers from low end roll off...maybe that's the way they wanted it, but I like my low end.
Our modifications address these issues, but we don’t stop there. We also modify our Dyna Comps to
Ross compressor specs.
The Ross compressor is one of the best sounding compressors…ever! It is actually a modified Dyna Comp. You may find one here on eBay for 0 to 0.
Or get this one that has the mods listed above plus the
Ross mod.

There are many musicians who really like the sound of the Dyna Comp. But many of these musicians end up compromising their sound by choosing a different pedal that also has a tone control.

Hey Mike! Well, I was able to put the dyna comp through its paces this weekend and all I can
say is: 1) Wow!, and 2) Thanks man!
It is really almost a different animal. It still has the "inherent" dyna comp feel/squish but
it's a heck of a lot smoother/less grainy and tons more bass (and it's quieter to boot.)
