Lot Consists of an Original, Dual Cancelled, 1901 PAN AMERICAN Exposition Color Advertising Cover Printed for the W. A. CASE & SON  PLUMBERS & ENGINEERS SUPPLIES, Buffalo, New York. Cover features a great color litho'ed image of a Buffalo Standing on Top of The World.
Cover has an Oval, "Sep 7, 1899" Buffalo cancellation on left side and an Oval "1901 Pan American Exposition" in cancellation bars in center. There is what appears to be an 1898 - 2 Cent Orange - Red Washington, Scott #279B Type IV, postage stamp affixed "upside down" and lightly cancelled on right edge, left up to knowledgeable person to make the determination. Rear of cover has a Round, "Rome N.Y." cancellation on right side and an unreadable, partial cancellation on left side. Envelope is side torn, just missing the stamp, 1/4" edge discarded and contents removed. See pics for more details.
Color cover is approx. 3-3/4" High x 6-1/4" Wide. Cover has some light signs of handling on edges and corners and light overall toning. As stated, envelope was right side torn open to remove contents. Cover has been file stored away for a very long time. Great piece of 1901 World's Fair / Exposition Memorabilia / U.S. Postal History.
