If you save unique and interesting philatelic items, this is a very scarce, TERRIFIC piece that rarely surfaces! This is an unused 7 1/2" by 4 5/8" envelope issued by the Singer Manufacturing Company of Niagara Falls, New York. As you can see on the front with the beautiful artwork, it offered "1000 Well Assorted Postage Stamps From All Over The World" for just 25 cents! The back flap, which opens just fine, notes that this offer was made at the time of the 1901 Pan American Exposition held in nearby Buffalo, New York. This unused cover is quite difficult to find, and it is a fine collectible!

The electrifying 1901 Pan American Exposition in Buffalo, New York offered a spirited message of hope and possibility. Over eight million people flocked to the spectacular Pan Am, and there were substantial opportunities for businessmen to profit.
Two very different people did so by creating souvenir “cinderella” stamps for the event. One was a reputable man who sold over four million Expo stamps and became a respected philatelic expert; the other was a traveling charlatan who later drifted into the darkness of forgery and swindling.
