Vintage Boy Scouts BSA Wood Badge Lot; Mugs, Patches Stickers Large Wood Badge.
This lot includes;
1- A large carved wood badge with a leather rope/tie. It measures 6 1/4” long and 1 1/4” thick. It is carved with the initials K. B. This guys was a Boy Scout in the 1950s and worked with Scouts through the 1980s. He also was the owner of the 3 mugs and the 2 patches for sure and might have owned all the items. (I just can’t remember because I have had the items for years)
2- 3 Wood Badges mugs. These are from the 1970s-1980.
A- the one that has the wood badge and also says “Wood Badge” is in good condition. I don’t see or feel and cracks or chips. Some of the gold rim feels rough and is running off in some areas.
B- The one with the wood and axe colored in. I don’t see or feel and cracks or chips but it has crazing under the glaze all over the mug.
C- It is the one with Baden-Powell on one side and wood and axe with the date 3/27/80. It is in good condition. I don’t feel or see and cracks or chips.
3- 2 patches. One says “Gilwell Park” that measures about 2.75” in diameter. and the other is actually sewn onto material with the wood badge and the wood and axe. It is very unique. I haven’t seen another one. This measures 4.5”x4”.
4- A wooden Nickel from the 15th World Jamboree in Canada in 1983.
5-5 wood badge stickers. 2 are round orange & brown stickers that say “Wood Badge”. They measure almost 3” in diameter. The other 3 day “Woodbadge” as one word and they also have R11-5 under the wood and axe. They are in rough shape. They are dirty but they are still neat. They measure about 2.75”x2.25”.
