Old dressmaking or tailor's shears/scissors as best I can determine, manufactured in Fremont, Ohio. I found that Clauss Shear merged with Henkel Company in 1919 to form the Henkel-Clauss Company, but couldn't find anything specifically about Henkel by itself. The merger took place in 1919 and created a company with the largest payroll in the U.S. at the time. The company changed its name in 1954 to avoid confusion with the J.A. Henckels Company of Germany, so these were made definitely before then, and it seems to be they were made a long time before. The scissors are made of chrome plated carbon steel. They have been used, have some wear, staining, some stains, inside of arms looks good, function well. See pictures. Stamped "
