    Description

    This vintage 263 piece optometry exam set was made by F. A. Hardy and CO. Chicago. The 1770 model, is only missing 2 lenses, see image to show which ones.  There are  70 Spherical concave lenses, 68 Spherical convex, 44 Cylindrical concave and 44 Cylindrical convex.  Then there are 36 other lenses and the set of rims that would give the measurements for the frame fitting.  This set is in the original, velvet lined, wood box, and then enclosed in a briefcase type wood box that is only used for storing, it is not a perfect fit, but keeps everything intact very well.  I am assuming this is from the early 1960’s.  Such an interesting set for many uses.  If you have questions, please contact me and I will try my best to give an answer.
