I have had this in my possession for approximately 35 years, for most of its life it was in a drawer near my Great Grandmother's sewing machine (I have the sewing machine too!).
Scale on ruler goes from 11" - 24"
Ruler and slide mechanism works freely
Base is metal, coated with black anti-scuff textured paint
Small rust spot on metal, see photo
Piece measures; 6" x 3-3/4" x 14-1/8"
Item comes from a smoke-free home.
