VINTAGE SEARS ELECTRIC SEWING SCISORS(WITH CHARGING CORD, STORAGE CASE, and INSTRUCTION BOOKLET)
While I can find no date on this, I believe I bought it in the 1970’s since that’s when I did most of my sewing.
They are Sears Electric Scissors model #2170.
This lot includes the scissors, the plastic storage case, the charging chord, and an instruction booklet with a separate sheet of operating instructions.
Although it hasn’t been used in many years, I plugged it in and charged the battery and it still works just fine!
I will give some details below, but please see the photos for a better idea.
·
The scissors are a two-tone green plastic with the bottom section textured for a better grip.
It has two settings: 1 for heavy and 1 for light fabric.
It has a light at the top front and a recharging port at the back so it can be used with the cord inserted in an electrical outlet or cordless if the battery is charged.
There is a short and a longer blade and measure about 1” long.
The total length of the scissors is about 7”
·
The charging cord is over 3 yards long.
·
The case is made of green plastic and has a flap that closes with a snap.
It measures about 9” x 5”.
The flap is slightly curled and there is a crease in the bag itself, but they don’t affect the bags ability and there are no tears or holes.
Perhaps the creases can be flattened out.
·
The booklet measures about 7” x 5 ¼” and has 11 pages. It offers instructions for use and care, and hints for cutting special fabrics. There is a separate sheet with operating instructions, the guarantee, and replacement information.
It has no rips, stains or writing in it.
